About Them :

ACRWORLD is partnering exclusively with a leading company in the Renewable Energy sector as they expand their HR team. This well-established and highly respected organisation continues to grow and is now seeking an experienced Head of HR to lead and shape the HR function within their fast-paced clean energy business.

This is a rare opportunity offering full autonomy. According to the CEO, the successful candidate will have the freedom to "run things their way." The company fosters a collaborative culture, operates with a flat structure, and maintains a genuine open-door policy.

The Role :

The main purpose of this role is to take full ownership of the entire HR function with a strong industrial relations focus. We are in need of someone who has experience dealing with unions and EBA negotiations.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include :

  • Providing advice, guidance, and support on ER / IR matters.
  • Supporting with addressing grievances, investigations, and disciplinary meetings.
  • Supporting day-to-day operational HR requirements.
  • Resolving employee relations issues and advising leadership on HR matters such as warnings, performance improvement plans, and record-keeping.
  • Developing and executing HR strategies and initiatives.
  • Supporting the development, implementation, and review of policies, procedures, processes, and practices.
  • Ensuring legal compliance throughout HR management, mitigating risks, and adhering to labor laws.
  • Supporting succession planning.
  • Assisting with the development of compensation structures.
  • Monitoring, tracking, and reporting on HR metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Preferred experience includes :

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an HR Lead within a successful corporation, preferably in renewables, mining, or civil construction.
  • Experience in Industrial & Employee Relations.
  • Broad knowledge of HR / IR requirements related to Fair Work and OH&S.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Sound commercial acumen and professional business sense.
  • Ability to think quickly and calmly under pressure.
  • Decisiveness and integrity in all dealings.
  • Positivity and tact in all situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
