As our Regional Quality Assurance Manager , you will be responsible for managing and supervising the Quality Assurance System across our sites, ensuring compliance with Gategroup global standards in Australia & NZ, focusing on customer food safety and quality standards, and continuous improvement. Reporting directly to the Head of Compliance QA & Operations, this role will provide leadership, coaching, and ensure compliance with standards. It is a full-time position based onsite at the Mascot office , with a high level of travel involved . Building strong relationships with Unit Managers is key to success in this role.
Your key focus areas :
- Coordinate with other functions to develop and improve food safety and quality management systems
- Manage daily QA tasks to achieve objectives
- Drive KPI targets for Food Safety and Quality in Oceania (Australia & NZ)
- Ensure all reports achieve KPI’s for Food Safety and Quality in the region
- Conduct and report on internal audits
- Liaise with governmental agencies on food safety compliance
- Maintain Food Safety system documentation
- Ensure safety reports are communicated to management
- Conduct supplier audits as required
- Discuss food safety and quality requirements with customers
- Review and approve corrective actions for non-conformances
- Coordinate site customer audits
- Summarize and report on food safety and quality issues
- Collaborate with Account Managers on customer complaints and corrective actions
- Record, analyze, and report on product quality and service
- Ensure effective food safety training for staff
- Lead and document QA and Food Safety meetings (HACCP, ISO22000, Halal, etc.)
- Participate in shift briefings and management meetings
- Contribute to regional QA and food safety calls in APME
- Conduct internal audits of quality management systems and site infrastructure
- Arrange microbiological sampling and testing
- Perform floor inspections
About you :
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science / Technology or related fieldAt least 3 years’ QA and Food Safety experienceExperience as a Quality Assurance Manager or Regional QA Manager in a similar environmentProject management experience is a plusRecent HACCP and / or ISO22000 certification (within last 3 years)Training in internal or external auditing (preferred)Strong communication skills with stakeholdersMandatory experience in food safety and quality assuranceFull and restricted work rightsIf you want to be part of a team that helps make travel and culinary memories, join us!
