About the Role

Ventia is seeking a standout HVAC / Electrical Technician to join our dynamic Telecommunications Team in Canberra. As a key member, you'll maintain, repair, and optimize facilities and advanced HVAC systems.

This is a full-time, permanent role with opportunities for overtime. You will have a company-provided Tool of Trade vehicle for commuting and work-related travel.

The pay rate is competitive and commensurate with skills and experience.

  • Key Duties

  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems
  • Contribute to site maintenance
  • Perform reactive and planned preventative maintenance using Mobility (iPad)
  • Clean, adjust, repair systems, and perform warranty services efficiently
  • Record inspection results online with quality standards
  • Be flexible to out-of-hours and call-out work as needed
  • Skills & Experience

  • Strong focus on OH&S
  • Excellent customer service and time management skills
  • Positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to develop skills
  • Valid Australian Drivers Licence, Refrigeration Trade qualification, and applicable licenses
  • Arctick Refrigerant Handling Licence, Restricted Electrical Licence, or Dual Trade qualifications
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Willingness to travel to metro and remote sites
  • Ability to pass police check, Working with Children Check, and pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening
