- About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the ROC-funded mental health program, which focuses on the evaluation and implementation of universal and transdiagnostic interventions for mental health and well-being. The interventions include the Method of Levels therapy, the Take Control Course, 4Ds for Dealing with Distress, and MYLO (an artificial therapist). The research will be guided by lived experience, perceptual control theory, and experimental research.
In this role, you will, but are not limited toConducting qualitative and quantitative analysis for ongoing research studies.Liaising with co-investigators and research partners.Preparing and revising manuscripts for publication.Co-designing opportunities and research contributions and eliciting iterative feedback at each stage of project design.Selection Criteria - who we are looking forA doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline, such as psychology or behavioural science.Evidence of an understanding of the reciprocal links between theory, research and practice within the social or behaviour sciences.Evidence of proficiency and experience with responsibility for data management, and a range of statistical analyses, and qualitative research methods.Evidence of a record of research outputs / creative works in high-quality referred journals / outlets consistent with the discipline.Evidence of quality and impact of research outputs / creative works including journal ranking, citation indices, patents awarded, reputation and standing of publishing house or other outlets, independent review from distinguished scholars or critics, or equivalent esteem measures as appropriate to the discipline.Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to the development of a collegial and supportive working environment and the ability to interact with students and staff with cross cultural sensitivity.DesirableCommitment to quality teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level.Demonstrated ability to supervise HDR students.Role RequirementsAs this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role.About Curtin UniversityWhat We Offer YouSituated on Whadjuk Nyungar Country, our vibrant Bentley campus includes an art gallery, gym, childcare and medical centre, bus station, accessible parking and endless food options including a supermarket.
