Liquor & Gaming NSW administers the regulatory framework for the liquor, gaming, wagering, casino and registered clubs sectors in NSW. This includes undertaking compliance and enforcement activities, providing policy advice to government, licensing certain activities and delivering industry support and education activities.??

Plan and undertake complex strategic intelligence analysis and intelligence projects to identify high risk activities within the market place. The role assists the Manager in business planning, setting priorities and quality assuring the workload of the business unit.

- Essential Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications and / or equivalent experience related to the discipline of intelligence or analytics.
- Key Accountabilities
- Develop and undertake complex intelligence and analytics projects to identify high risk consumer, business and compliance activities, that service the strategic and operational needs, across the organisation and external stakeholders using the intelligence cycle and practices
- Plan and deliver timely, accurate and outcomes-focused intelligence products and analysis to support, inform and influence tactical, operational and strategic decision making
- Understanding and appreciation of the interface between contemporary investigative techniques and analytical support to ensure that any evidence collected is admissible in a court of law
- Undertake extensive and detailed trend analysis of selected high-risk business and predictive modelling, including the provision of data interpretation and providing intelligence-based outcomes.
- Mentor and manage the team workload priorities and project management capabilities
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with all internal stakeholders and with key Commonwealth, State and Territory government agencies through Australia and New Zealand
- Contribute to identification of current and emerging state and national issues that would have adverse impacts of the confidence of consumers in NSW
