Job descriptionSome of your key duties and responsibilities will include; Planning strategy - Facilitate and participate in Branch S&OP meetings Manage all purchasing for the branch to meet customer demands and maintain stock Manage supplier relationships and ensure all pricing is correct Maintain accurate records with our ERP system including all import costs, cycle counts, scrap and inventory adjustments Build strong relationships between yourself, the Warehouse, Internal sales staff, Head Office staff and Branch Management Take accountability for inventory budgets, whilst maintaining customer service through the active management safety stock levels for all classes of stock including slow moving or dead stock About You... To be successful you are; At least 3+ years in a purchasing or similar role Specialist knowledge of procurement concepts, processes, activities and trends Experienced in a distribution environment, including local and overseas sourcing Highly conversant with strong computer skills (Microsoft D365 an advantage) A team player adept at staff management and effective communication skills both written and verbal Analytical and a lateral approach to problem solving Passionate and results driven About Us... We are seeking a dynamic, results orientated Inventory Controller to help shape the strategic direction together with Branch and Head Office management, together with implementing and delivering on that strategy so as to meet and exceed the expectations of both external and internal customers.
