About the RoleAs a Disability Support Worker, you will be providing person-centred active support to people living with disability.

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is supporting people with disability in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living assistance.

You can expect to work across a 24 / 7 roster.Key ResponsibilitiesWork between Hocking and NollamaraSupport two male clients with psychosocial disability and mental health challengesActively support and participate with clients in gaming, art, and community connectionImplement person-centred support and follow behaviour support plansAssist with personal care while promoting independenceLog daily care and changes in needs to ensure informed, coordinated supportAvailability for sleepovers is essentialSkills & ExperienceResilience and confidence managing complex situations and behavioursAn unrestricted Western Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicleDemonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktopA current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.BenefitsPay rates starting from $41.76 (casual)Take advantage of local parks, sports facilities, and community centres within the areaEnjoy exclusive salary packaging on everyday living expenses (including mortgage, rent and bills)About the OrganisationLife Without Barriers is a leading social purpose, not for profit organisation of 8,000 employees working in more than 500 communities across Australia.
