Mechanical CheckerLocation : Perth, CBDIndicative assignment length : 4-5 month contract The role A global engineering consultancy are looking to find an experienced Mechanical Checker for a major project in the mining and resources sector.
This is a short-term contract role with the potential to extend, offering the chance to contribute to a high-impact project for a leading mining client.
It's a detail-oriented position ideal for someone with extensive experience in materials handling systems.
Key Responsibilities Check and validate mechanical drawings, 3D models, and bills of materials (BOMs) Ensure all designs meet quality, accuracy, and constructability standards Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure compliance with project specifications Contribute to safe and high-quality project delivery through rigorous technical reviews What you'll need to succeed Demonstrated experience as a Mechanical Checker on mining projects Deep understanding of materials handling systems – particularly conveyors & crushers RIO TINTO project experience within the last 5 years is essential Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, QA / QC procedures, and drawing / drafting standards Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify design or documentation issues What you need to do now If you have the relevant experience and are looking for a new opportunity to work for a fantastic company, apply now!
