About the Role
This role is for a Communications Officer to support the implementation of the Diagnostic Reform program's change and communications plan. This role will be critical in ensuring successful adoption of new systems and processes across multiple laboratory sites, with a particular focus on supporting the implementation of the laboratory reforms.
Key Duties Developing and implementing communication activities as outlined in the Diagnostic Reform Change and Communications PlanCreating engaging content for the program's SharePoint sites, newsletters, and other communication channelsSupporting the coordination and facilitation of Townhall meetings, Workshops, and other stakeholder engagement activitiesAssisting in monitoring stakeholder feedback through 'Pulse Check' surveys and other feedback mechanismsDeveloping communications materials that explain complex change processes in accessible language for various audiencesSupporting Directors and Laboratory Managers to raise awareness of the Program and assist with implementing changeWorking with project areas to translate technical information about LIMS, Laboratory Operations, Laboratory Assurance Program, and other program components into clear, audience-appropriate messagingMaintaining accurate records of stakeholder engagement activities and feedbackSupporting the Program Director and Program Manager in preparing briefings for senior leadership and the Minister's officeDesign and produce visual content including graphics, infographics, presentations, and promotional materials.Skills and capabilities Strong written and verbal communication skills with a proficiency in communicating complex information in plain English to a range of audiences.The ability to work independently to meet work targets and deadlines and produce consistently high-quality outputs while adapting to change.Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain internal and external networks, develop and manage relationships with a range of stakeholders, and manage sensitivities.Demonstrated ability to manage issues or projects from start to finish, utilising high-level organisational and problem-solving skills, including the ability to prioritise and complete a range of projects and activities within set timeframes.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team, manage priorities and contribute positively to team culture.Knowledge and experience Experience building and maintaining effective working relationships with a range of government and non-government stakeholders.Experience communicating complex information in plain English to a range of audiences.Interest / experience in the fields of agriculture and / or science would be an advantage.Experience with graphic design software and creating visual communication materials would be an advantage.How to Apply Click APPLY or contact Marisa Conlon, Senior Consultant, Talent Acquisition at
