Aurenne Mining is seeking a dedicated Safety / Emergency Management Advisor to join our team at the Mt Ida Gold Mine. This is a pivotal dual-role position on an 8 : 6 FIFO roster, offering a rewarding opportunity to contribute to both emergency response and site safety compliance within a supportive, close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance :

Providing advice and guidance on safety and related matters
Incident investigations
Conducting workplace inspections and identifying hazards
Ensuring employees and contractors comply with safety policies
Maintaining up-to-date safety documentation and emergency response plans
Conducting audits and updating safety registers

Emergency Response & Medical Support

Providing first aid and emergency medical response as required

Managing and inspecting emergency response equipment and vehicles are well maintained and ready for immediate use

Managing and maintaining medical facilities (medical centre and first aid room)

Coordinating emergency drills and incident response exercises

Training and developing the site’s Emergency Response Team

Managing return-to-work documentation and health clearances to ensure employees can safely work remotely under FIFO conditions

Essential

Your Experience & Qualifications

Minimum 3 years in a similar role in mining

Certificate IV in WHS or equivalent

Certificate III in Mines Emergency Response

Manual C Class driver’s licence

Strong understanding of WA WSH Act 2020 and WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022

Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Ability to make effective decisions in rapidly changing situations

Desirable

Cert IV in Training & Assessment

HLTPAT005 Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing

Combined Space Entry / Gas test
