StateAbout the Centre / ServiceCommencing in the Joey room, 26 children 2-5 years with 4 educators. Our hours of operation are 7.45am to 5.15pm Monday to Friday. The Craig Family Centre is a community-based organisation that provides services to support individuals and families within the local community. The Centre offers a broad range of programs including Occasional childcare, 3 year old kindergarten and 4 year old kindergarten with 22 children in each group with a teacher and diploma educator. We have a Neighborhood House that facilitates playgroups, community programs and leisure activities. Membership is open to people of all ages, abilities, backgrounds and cultural groups. The Craig Family Centre is an incorporated association managed by an elected Committee of Management. As part of its incorporation process, the Centre identified the need to achieve very high professional standards and aims to achieve these through the delivery of safe, well planned and stimulating programs that respond positively to the individuals and families who use them.

DescriptionTo ensure children's wellbeing, learning needs and interests are addressed through a high quality program.To openly communicate with colleagues and report any challenges to the Director.To assist children, families and new employees make a smooth transition into the Centre.Establish and maintain professional, honest and open two way communication with families which is collaborative and supports them in their parenting role.To be aware of the needs of colleagues and support them within the program, assist them in critical reflection and conflict resolution if required.To engage in professional development and maintain exemplary pedagogical practice.To be an Approved Supervisor.To be an advocate for children, CFC and the profession.To provide quality care and education for children 0-6 years, that is inclusive and culturally appropriate for all children.To ensure that documentation related to the program is complete. This will include individual developmental observations, portfolios, learning stories, visual diaries, program plans and profiles as a basis of further planning.To ensure that the environment is hygienic and safe, so as to promote the children's wellbeing and learning.To implement smooth running and enjoyable routines, appropriate for the children, that respects children's agency, fosters individuality and encourages independence.To ensure that all equipment, indoor and outdoor is inspected regularly and is safe and well maintained.QualificationsAn appropriate Early Childhood Qualification that is recognised as a Children's Services Employee Level 4 or above.RequirementsWWCC
