In 2017, Northrop Grumman Australia was awarded a contract to perform the acquisition, construction and support of the second satellite ground station in the east of Australia. The contract will also deliver an integrated wideband SATCOM network management system to improve robustness, capacity and efficiency of the ADF SATCOM capability.

This position is based at our Symonston office in the ACT.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications required :

• Ideally you have a telecommunication trade / engineering background or similar- Expertise in satellite communication systems troubleshooting and technical skills, ideally with Wideband SATCOMs- Knowledge and experience with SATCOMs operations and planning- Highly developed understanding of time-division multiple access (TDMA)- Good written and verbal communication skills being able to change language to suite audience.- Intermediate knowledge of ICT, ideally in a support / help desk environment- Exceptional stakeholder management and customer service, with the ability to interface with ADF personnel at all levels.Desired requirements :
• Common Network Planning Solution (CNPS) and Wideband Remote Monitoring System (WRMS) experience- Knowledge of radio frequency, antenna and IP networking- Customer Service Ticketing Systems experience- ADF Satellite Communications knowledge and experience- Experience in the development of SOPs, technical manuals and training development and delivery.
