Job Description
Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans to support departmental objectives.Draft and edit high-quality content for internal and external audiences, including media releases, reports, and newsletters.Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure clear and consistent messaging across all channels.Manage media inquiries and prepare responses in line with organisational policies.Coordinate events, campaigns, and other public engagement initiatives.Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and provide recommendations for improvement.Ensure all communications align with government standards and branding guidelines.Support crisis communication efforts as required.
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Communications Lead Should Have
A qualification in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.Experience in developing and executing communication strategies within the public sector or similar environments.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal abilities.Proficiency in using communication tools and platforms, including digital media.The ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.An understanding of government processes and public sector communication requirements.
