Whether you're a junior solicitor buying your first home or a senior partner navigating complex lending structures, we provide tailored financial solutions with absolute discretion and expertise.

We’ve built strong traction in the market — now we’re looking for a Business Development Manager to help take TBL national.

The Role

We’re seeking a smart, confident, and well-connected Business Development Manager to help drive our growth. The ideal candidate has a background in the legal industry — either as a BDM in a law firm, in legal recruitment, or in a role where you’ve sold services to lawyers.

This is not your average sales role. Lawyers are discerning clients — and we need someone who understands how to build trust, have credible conversations, and open doors with individuals and firms who value a high-quality, tailored service.

Key Responsibilities

Relationship Building & Referrals

  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with lawyers, law firm partners, HR managers, and practice leaders.
  • Drive new business through a mix of warm referrals, strategic partnerships, and outbound BD.
  • Position TBL as the go-to finance partner for individuals and firms in the legal industry.

Partnership Development

  • Develop relationships with law societies, legal associations, and alumni networks.
  • Represent TBL at legal networking events, panels, CPD sessions, and firm-sponsored functions.
  • Work closely with the Founder to refine and execute the national growth strategy.
  • Provide feedback to marketing to shape campaigns and content that resonate with the legal audience.
  • Suggest and implement creative ideas for brand visibility and lead generation.
  • Reporting & Performance

  • Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline reporting.
  • Provide weekly updates on outreach, meetings, referrals, and conversions.
  • Meet (and aim to exceed) BD KPIs aligned with our growth targets.
  • About You

  • Legal industry experience is essential — ideally as a BDM in a law firm, legal recruiter, or someone who has worked in / alongside lawyers.
  • You have a credible and professional presence , with the ability to engage senior stakeholders (equity partners, general counsel, etc).
  • A proven track record in business development, account management, or partnerships.
  • You’re a natural relationship builder — people trust you, and you know how to convert conversations into commercial outcomes.
