An exciting opportunity exists for a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy based in Perth. This position is ideal for a motivated individual with 3 to 15 years’ experience in building services design, looking to contribute to innovative projects across sectors including commercial, healthcare, education, residential, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality electrical design solutions for building services projects across various sectors.
Prepare design documentation including schematics, single-line diagrams, lighting and power layouts, and technical specifications.
Perform electrical calculations for lighting, power distribution, earthing, and energy efficiency compliance.
Collaborate with mechanical, hydraulic, and other engineering disciplines to ensure coordinated design outcomes.
Liaise with clients, architects, and project stakeholders to ensure design requirements are understood and met.
Assist in mentoring junior engineers and reviewing their work where appropriate.
Support project delivery from concept through to construction phase services including site inspections.
Ensure compliance with Australian standards, NCC, and relevant statutory regulations.

Key Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

3–15 years of experience in electrical design within the building services industry.

Proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, PowerCAD, and Dialux / AGi32.

Solid understanding of Australian Standards and BCA / NCC compliance.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
