• Job Summary : Operate machines that break down railcar wheelsets, recondition axles for new sets, mount new wheels to reconditioned axles, recondition wheelsets, move material, and press new bearings on wheelsets that have been reconditioned or new sets.Job Duties : Use measuring devices (i.e., gages, calipers)Ability to read micrometers and work to tight tolerancesQualifications : High School Diploma or GEDOperate overhead cranesBasic shop mathStrong attention to detailFlexibility in shift and scheduleQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
