The department of Anaesthesia provides elective and emergency anaesthetic services to various specialty areas including General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Urology, ENT (including Paediatrics), and a busy Obstetric unit. The Hospital Department of Anaesthesia is an accredited training site with ANZCA.

Summary of the role : Clinical duties include peri-operative anaesthetic and resuscitation care for in-patients, including anaesthesia and analgesia services in the birth suite, operating theatres, wards, ICU, and emergency department. You will participate in coordinating weekly Pre-anaesthetic Outpatient Clinics, and assist in organizing departmental non-clinical education and quality assurance activities. The role involves providing high-quality care both in and after-hours, with active participation in departmental activities.
