We are recruiting a Performance Reporting Analyst to join our Sydney team on a full-time basis. This role will provide a steppingstone into working within the financial services industry for anyone with a particular interest and focus on investments, research and portfolio construction.
The role of the Performance Reporting Analyst is to work with Lonsec's Sydney based Investment Solutions team to :
- Provide comprehensive reporting solutions to our clients including performance analysis and data analytics.
- Develop and maintain quantitative analysis and inputs for the LIS model and managed portfolios.
- Work with consultants on client responsibilities
- Work with LIS team on internal meeting reporting requirements
- Key Responsibilities
Reporting :
Manage the monthly and quarterly client reporting processIncorporate data analysis into designated ongoing reportsWorking on various tools to produce factor analysis, liquidity analysis and portfolio stress testing for managed account portfoliosUse analysed data to create reportsIdentifying process improvement opportunitiesPreparation of Portfolio Reports for Investment Committees (review and evaluate attribution, portfolio characteristics and asset allocation)Developing further client reporting capabilities through the direction of the investment consulting teamAssist with the quantitative analysis, tools and inputs.Publish reports via Lonsec's proprietary Adviser Portal on iRate.As part of the reporting responsibilities, Data Collection and Analysis is key :Interpret data and analyse results using statistical techniquesIdentify anomalies in various data sourcesFilter and "clean" dataPrerequisite Skills and ExperienceUnderstanding of the services of an asset consultant, research house, or fund manager, with an emphasis on skills on performance reporting.Excellent writing skills and attention to detail - a strong ability to synthesise and distil financial information down to key concepts and convey this in written form efficiently, clearly and concisely.Expertise in Microsoft Excel and a strong working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Adobe AcrobatResearch skills - ability to manipulate and analyse data.Strong organisational and time management skills - meet deadlines and coordinate and manage various tasks at a time (and reprioritise as new tasks come to hand).A clear and demonstrable understanding of investment markets and major asset classes within the funds management industry, with a particular strength in and understanding of asset allocation.Stong communication and relationship management skills to enable liaising with external clients with the ability to effectively handle queries and concerns.Ability to work as part of a close knit team as well as autonomously while taking responsibility for meeting personal objectives.A demonstrable interest in finance and investmentsEssential qualificationsAn undergraduate degree in a business or mathematical based discipline (science or engineering) e.g. BComm, BBus, BA, BEc, BSc, BApSciPlus one of the following is preferred but not essential;Honours YearCertified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA)CFA level 1Post Graduate Diploma in Finance / Management / Commerce / Financial PlanningMaster of Business Administration / Economics / Commerce / Applied FinancePlus a minimum of 12 months relevant industry work experienceWorking for LonsecWe are Australia's leading financial research company, rating more funds, stocks and managers than our competitors.
