Reporting to the Finance Manager, this opportunity will see you responsible and accountable for providing timely and efficient accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to contribute to the effectiveness of company operations, ultimately overseeing all financial and administrative functions of the business.

This role offers a permanent position within the client's finance team and a Monday to Friday work roster with general office hours from 8am-4pm with some flexibility

Key Responsibilities in the role :

• Oversee the effective and efficient functioning of general ledger accounting, payroll, treasury, accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Facilitate the end of month accounting processes and reporting in accordance with the schedule and to a high level of accuracy
• Assist with the preparation of yearly budgets and periodic forecasts
• Preparation of end of year statutory accounts, taxation and audit requirements
• Ensure effective credit control, debtors’ maintenance, and cash collection
• Facilitate the annual audit program and liaise closely with external auditors
• Ensure all taxation transactions comply with current legislation.
• Ensure the lodgement of BAS, payroll tax and FBT is compliant and on time

Requirements :

• Bachelor of Commerce / Business
• CA or CPA membership
• Current C class drivers’ license with reliable transport
• Sound knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards
• Ability to work autonomously, exercise initiative and maturity
• Well-developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with keen attention to detail
• Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
