About the Position :

Anglicare's Home and Community teams provide essential support and services that enable our clients to maintain their independence and live happily and healthily within their own homes. Our non-clinical lifestyle programs are designed to meet individual needs, incorporating principles of social inclusion, choice and control, enablement, empowerment, and independence. Our clinical supports include nursing and allied health care at home, along with domestic and personal assistance.

We currently have an opportunity for an Allied Health Assistant within Brisbane's Southeast . This important role provides vital clinical support to allied health professionals in delivering programs and services to clients across community-based and residential settings. In this role, you will assist with a range of multidisciplinary tasks aimed at supporting the delivery of effective and efficient clinical care. Responsibilities may include assisting with in-home therapy programs, facilitating community integration activities, supporting group sessions, and performing various technical duties as required.

This position is permanent part-time within the Cleveland region.

Participate in information gathering for assessment under the guidance of a treating health professional
Complete a defined range of clinical screening assessments as delegated and prescribed by guidelines, legislation and professional guidelines
Record client / resident activity including documentation and statistics as per organisational guidelines.
Support the evaluation of ongoing effectiveness of allied health plans
Identify and report client / resident circumstances that require additional input from the Allied Health Professional
Conduct independent home and community visits to implement, monitor and ensure the safety of the allied health plans or recommendations as established by the supervising professional (Community only)

Required Qualifications

Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (AHA)

Current First Aid Certificate with CPR

Current National Police Certificate

Current Driver Licence and own reliable vehicle
