Project Engineer

About the role

This is an opportunity for a Project Engineer to join a well-established national civil contractor and work on subdivision and urban infrastructure projects. This business has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality land development, infrastructure, and roadworks projects. Combining Tier 1 capability with a family-run culture, they’re experiencing sustained growth and are looking for Engineers to deliver mid- to large-scale Urban development projects valued $10M–$100M.

Responsibilities

• Undertake cost, revenue and productivity tracking and reporting functions, including utilising relevant administrative tools.
• Assist with preparation of site construction forecasts and reports.
• Management of company workforce and specific trades, technicians, site supervisors and contractors. Assign work and assist with reviews for accuracy and adherence to required standards.
• Manage and develop direct reports including regular monitoring and reviewing of their performance and coaching / mentoring in construction / system requirements.
• Provide status reports and resourcing diagrams.

The successful applicant will have the following experience

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or its equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience delivering Urban development project.
• Intermediate to advanced computer literacy (e.g. Microsoft Suite, Viewpoint, scheduling software, etc.).
• Knowledge of Company Quality procedures, Work Health and Safety Act and HR / IR procedures.
• Familiarity with WHS and Environmental legislation and ability to produce Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) for specific trades / activities.
• Demonstrated experience developing, implementing and managing budgets and forecasts.
