- Dental Assistant, where you will be responsible for
- Ensure standards of practice are maintained according to the Division's standards.
- Demonstrate empathy and understanding towards clients from diverse cultural, ethnic, and social backgrounds. Model a positive approach and commitment to customer service.
- Provide effective problem-solving skills to deliver flexible services that meet clients' needs while working effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Provide chair-side dental assistance to dental practitioners. Maintain and promote infection control and contribute to the reprocessing of reusable medical devices (RMD).
- Perform and document routine testing, cleaning, maintenance, and reporting of breakages for dental and RMD reprocessing equipment.
- Re-stock clinical areas, monitor and rotate stock, and prepare stores requisitions while ensuring new stock is received and receipted.
- Enrich the team environment with positive contributions, recognising health, safety, and welfare responsibilities, commitment to learning, and acknowledgment of differences. Voice views and concerns constructively.
- About You
To be successful in this role, you will have :
- In-depth knowledge of dental terminology, equipment, instruments, materials, procedures, and contemporary infection control and sterilisation practices.
- Understanding of OHSW principles, Equal Opportunity, the Public Sector Act 2009 Code of Ethics, and diversity requirements relevant to the position.
- Proven ability to work as part of a team, build positive relationships, and collaborate effectively with others.
- Proven ability to problem-solve, manage priorities, and organize workload efficiently. Familiarity with confidentiality and information security policies and procedures.
