Responsibilities

To succeed in this role, you will need Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics or Mechatronics) or related discipline.

Specific development experience with heavy, off road, or mining vehicles and / or autonomous haulage systems is highly desirable.

• Experience in Linux-based systems and troubleshooting distributed software architectures
• Knowledge of software programming tools (ex. Linux, C++, etc.)
• Knowledge of communication protocols (ex. Ethernet, CAN J1939, DDS, etc.).
• Knowledge of diagnostic tools necessary to analyse embedded onboard connected systems, (ex. Vector Canalyzer, SQL Database)
• Knowledge of ITSM tools (ex. JIRA, Service Now)
• Knowledge of real-time embedded systems
• Knowledge of open-source development tools (e.g. ROS2)
• Knowledge of autonomous system technology principles including perception, pose, and self- localization / mapping
• Troubleshoot complex systems related to onboard autonomy, robotic behaviours, and drive by wire systems
• Troubleshoot obstacle detection algorithms and summarize performance metrics
• Knowledge of system modelling techniques using MATLAB / Simulink
• Calibrate and troubleshoot perception stack sensors including but not limited to Lidar and radar.
