YMCA Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) provides fun, stimulating and safe care for primary and secondary school children before and after school.

At OSHC, children have the opportunity to participate in cooking, sport, music, art, dance and so much more.

The Y Queensland's childcare services has been at the heart of Australian communities for more than 40 years, with our first early learning service opening in Brisbane in 1977 after we identified the need for childcare that focused on helping children grow in body, mind and spirit.

We are currently recruiting for OSHC Educators on a casual basis to join our YMCA Norris Road Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Service located in Bracken Ridge.

About the service YMCA Norris Road Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) is located in Bracken Ridge and is the homeland of the Turrbal and Jagera people.

The service is licensed for 135 children and offers before school care, after school care and vacation care from 630am and 6pm.

Our building is situated on the senior oval offering an extensive variety of indoor and outdoor experiences, such as outdoor play equipment, oval, undercover area, and multi-courts.

Additionally, we have use of the school hall for a range of rainy day and indoor activities.

We provide a healthy, delicious and inclusive menu offering vegetarian and dietary requirement alternatives.

Our service philosophy captures our passion to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children and families and that all children have a right to engage in play, recreational opportunities, and cultural and artistically diverse lifestyles.

We insist in creating a child interest-based program to ensure children and families are heard and have a sense of belonging, we welcome educators with individual skills and experiences that complement our values.

About the roleAs an OSHC Educator you are responsible for the care of children before school, after school and during school holiday periods.

You'll assist in running fascinating, fun-filled and educational activities with primary school children, such as science experiments, outdoor games, painting and musical activities.What will my time look like?

You are currently studying or completed a Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor degree in the field of children's services or similar You have a fantastic sense of fun and a tremendous imagination You hold or be willing to obtain a current First Aid and CPR certification You hold a Positive Notice Blue Card or be willing to obtain one What's in it for you?
