- The Role
The Assistant Director Health Safety Environment Governance will work with considerable independence to plan, engage with stakeholders and report on health, safety and environmental (HSE) initiatives.
The key activities will include, but are not limited to :
Create the action plan to meet the Defence WHS Strategy.Manage the program of projects and activities to meet HSE outcomesPrepare briefs for senior leaders and committeesManage the directorate input into the Health Safety Environment Advisory Committee.Engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to progress HSE outcomes.The position offers an opportunity to innovate and adapt to emerging risks and work with stakeholders to put in place enduring solutions.
About our TeamThe Directorate of Health Safety and Environment is part of the Group Business Management Division within the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group. The directorate is responsible for the delivery of work health and safety and environment services to the group including : governance, policy and processes; specialist advice and support; assurance; and continuous improvement projects.
