We are currently seeking
- Course Coordinator
- across different course areas - Early Childhood Education, Fitness, Counselling, Community Services, Mental Health, Aged Care, Yoga & Massage to join our academic team.
This role will also have a teaching component of 1 class per term.

- Key responsibilities
- Delivery
- Deliver training and assessment in alignment with the Training & Assessment Strategy (TAS)
- Implement and deliver all learning resources provided by the Learning Development team
- Assist with monitoring of students on study plans and non-standard study patterns
- Working with the Learning Development team, participate in validation and moderation activities and course reviews, providing SME input
- Work collaboratively with the Work Placement team to ensure all students receive the required industry training and assessment
- Assist in dealing with escalated student academic enquiries
- Maintain your own industry and training and assessment currency
- Maintain connection with industry to support the delivery of relevant training and assessment
- Co-ordination of Trainers and Assessors
- Lead weekly meetings for trainers and assessors
- Lead with monitoring of students on study plans and non-standard study patterns
- Lead the induction of all new trainers in your course specialisation
- Lead trainer observations and provide feedback to deliver improvements
- Support the Academic Manager in ensuring that ALG has sufficient trainers and assessors
- Participate in recruitment activities as required by the Academic Manager
- Support with timetable allocation on a termly basis
- Participate in assessment validation and moderation and provide continuous improvement recommendations to the Learning Development team
- Support the Academic Manager in ensuring that the compliance of all trainers and assessors - vocational, industry currency and professional development is maintained at all times

- Participate in continuous improvement activities
- Participate in external and internal audits as required
- Team Management
- Foster a high-performance culture in the training and assessment team by providing clear goals and regular feedback
- Actively engage in developing a positive and supportive culture within the team and across the Group.
- Provide mentoring and coaching support for trainers and assessors to assist in their development;
- Provide clear direction to and manage the work performance of trainers and assessors.
- Compliance to all People and Culture processes ensuring engagement and retention of team members; and

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on the VET Quality Framework and the ESOS Framework
- Work with the Quality Assurance team to implement the annual calendar of compliance activities for training delivery
- Support internal audits and assist the Academic Manager in the creation and monitoring of rectification plans as required
- Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor qualification in relevant field of study
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE 40116 or higher or equivalent
- At least 5 years' current relevant industry experience
- 3+ years of experience as a Trainer and Assessor
- Detailed understanding of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 and the National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2018
- Sound knowledge of the relevant training package and units of competency
- Understanding of vocational education principles and reporting requirements
- Experience with Microsoft 365 office suite
- Ability to lead diverse teams in multiple locations
