Commencement Date : Immediate

Salary : Commensurate with experience

Position Overview The Canberra Liberals are seeking a motivated and proactive Executive Assistant and Membership Officer to provide high-level executive support across both campaign operations and membership engagement. This role is ideal for a dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced political environment, is highly organised, and is passionate about growing the Party's reach and effectiveness.

This role combines executive administrative support, campaign coordination, and strategic membership development and communications. The successful candidate will be deeply involved in campaign logistics, member engagement, and communication initiatives, playing a vital role in ensuring operational success in the lead-up to elections and beyond.

Key Responsibilities Executive Support & Administration Provide administrative support, including calendar management and meeting coordination.

Handle correspondence, answer phones, and manage email communications.

Prepare reports or presentations for meetings.

Manage general office duties including filing, scanning, and database maintenance.

Assist with internal and external communications as directed.

Campaign Support Liaise with candidates and support campaign deliverables using digital and traditional tools.

Assist with the coordination and organisation of central campaign activities and events.

Collaborate with campaign teams to ensure consistent messaging and coordination.

Membership Recruitment & Engagement Develop and implement strategies for growing and retaining Party membership.

Monitor membership data, identify trends, and report on growth opportunities.

Manage membership outreach, onboarding, and engagement campaigns.

Organise member events, including forums and the Annual State Conference.

Respond to member inquiries and ensure high standards of member service.

Communications & Media Develop and deliver regular communications (newsletters, emails, social posts) to members and supporters.

Use online platforms and social media to drive engagement and promote events.

Professional Experience & Skills Experience in a political office or campaign environment is highly regarded.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

High-level computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office and digital platforms.

Familiarity with membership databases and customer relationship management (CRM) tools preferred.

Demonstrated experience in event coordination and communications.
