Clinical Nurse - Recovery / PACU

Sunnybank Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse - Recovery / PACU to join our Operating Theatre on a full time basis. You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care is provided.

As the CN Recovery / PACU Role, your responsibilities will include :

• Oversee safe, quality care that meets current best practice standard
• Support and liaise with the Perioperative Services Manager, staff and VMO anaesthetist
• Understanding of legislative requirements, ACORN and sterilization standard
• Knowledge of accreditation processes and Quality / Risk management

Essential Criteria :

• Current Registration with AHPRA
• Previous experience in a CN / Recovery / PACU role, or been practising in the role of anaesthetic nurse for more than 3-4 years in a team leader role
• Have completed relevant post graduate qualification or commitment to commence within 12 months of appointment
• Commitment to Quality Patient Care
• Compliance with NSQHC National standards
• Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
• Experience in similar position (desired)
• Excellent Communication and Customer Services skills
• Highly organised and strong ability to prioritise tasks
