Geotechnical Driller

About the role

Join our dynamic team at Tier 1 Drilling Australia as an experiencedgeotechnical Driller, based on the sunshine coast, Queensland. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of drilling equipment on our mining, exploration and geotechnical projects.

What you'll be doing Operate and maintain drilling equipment to industry standards and safety requirements

Contribute to the planning and execution of drilling programs

Supervise and train drilling assistants and labourers

Ability to work in remote locations, FIFO / DIDO on various rosters

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to drilling activities

Identify and troubleshoot any equipment issues, and perform basic repairs as needed

Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols

What we're looking for Proven experience as a geotechnical driller, with at least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in the mining, resources, or energy industries

Strong technical skills and knowledge of drilling equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting

Ability to read and interpret geological and engineering data

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Valid driver's license and the ability to work in remote locations (HR license highly desirable)

Certification in drilling or a related field would be highly desirable
