Maintenance Planner

About the Opportunity

Our client—a leading FMCG manufacturer—is transforming its maintenance approach from reactive to proactive. With multiple high‑speed production lines and a commitment to operational excellence, they’re investing in systems and processes that drive uptime, reliability, and safety. This planner role is pivotal in shaping and embedding those maintenance frameworks.

Role Overview

You’ll report to the Maintenance Manager and own the planning function end‑to‑end. Your focus is on developing preventive‐maintenance schedules, coordinating work orders, and ensuring maintenance activities align with production and inventory needs. You’ll also support the upcoming transition from the current CMMS to an ERP‐based system.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, document and maintain short‑term work orders and long‑term preventive‑maintenance schedules
• Engage daily with trades crews on the floor to gather equipment data and plan outages around production demands
• Liaise with stores to manage parts masters, inventory levels and procurement lead times
• Support CMMS → ERP migration : data cleanup, configuration and user training
• Identify continuous‑improvement opportunities, develop business cases and drive project implementation
• Produce regular reports on maintenance KPIs (uptime, compliance, spares usage) and present findings to stakeholders
• Ensure all planning activities meet WH&S and quality standards
