- What you'll be doing_
In this role you will be required to :
- Drive continuous learning across CINSW regarding how AI and data science can add value to CINSW work; and promulgate good data science practice.
- Lead the development, validation and testing of effective complex approaches relating to AI, data mining, machine learning, statistical modelling and data visualisation for generating insights.
- Work with stakeholders to define requirements, and lead the development and implementation of the organisational wide analytical tools and products using the latest technology.
- Ensure appropriate quality assurance and data governance processes for data and information
Essential to the role will be your ability to manage communications and relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to identify longer term Analytics and AI requirements, influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the development of sustainable AI and Analytics systems and solutions that will support present and future of cancer intelligence.

- Essential requirements_
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive experience computer science, machine learning or a related discipline, preferably a doctorate degree in Computer Science or Data Science.
- Expertise in programming languages, such as SQL for data transformation; R, Python.
- Superior analytical skills including demonstrated ability conducting extensive data analysis and interpretation of healthcare evidence and improvement strategies; developing and validating methods and tools of health system performance; preparing and presenting analysis and reports.
- Demonstrated experience in the creation and maintenance of appropriate data repositories, such as data lakes, and development, validation and testing of effective approaches relating to data mining and analysis, machine learning, statistical modelling and data visualisation.
- Demonstrated experience in all aspects of project management and implementation including management of multiple and concurrent complex projects with conflicting milestones and deadlines and leading multidisciplinary project teams. This includes the ability to motivate and influence staff collaborating on projects, particularly those who may not have direct reporting relationship.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience developing effective professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders including liaising with and influencing stakeholders in the achievement of organisational goals.
- Advanced oral and written communication, interpersonal, negotiation, consultation and presentation skills.
