Trainee Electrical Drafter

Due to continued strong growth, an opportunity exists for a Trainee Electrical Drafter to join our Resource Engineering group in Perth. GHD's Resource Engineering team provides a range of multidisciplinary engineering services to a broad range of mining, resources and oil & gas clients.

In this role you will develop your knowledge of relevant electrical design and drafting principles and advanced software packages (such as MicroStation and AutoCAD) to undertake the documentation of Electrical design / construction drawings for resource related projects.

In order to be successful in this role you will demonstrate capability in the following areas :

• A completed TAFE qualification or proof of progress in the achievement of a relevant TAFE qualification in Electrical Drafting / Engineering and / or relevant experience within the Mining, Resources or Oil & Gas industries.
• A relevant level of working knowledge of electrical drafting and design principles used in producing design / construction drawings.
• An eagerness to develop your CAD skills on a range of software platforms including MicroStation and AutoCAD.
• Sound communication skills and be a team player
• The ability to display commitment, initiative and enthusiasm in your everyday attitude
• The willingness to be part of a team progressing on its digital journey
