What You Will Be Doing

The Infant, Child and Family Team is a small, multidisciplinary team delivering high quality mental health assessments, clinical and wellbeing interventions for infants, children (0-11 years) and their families and supporters, who are experiencing complex presentations with behavioural, developmental, social and emotional difficulties that are impacting on their development and psychosocial functioning.

It is anticipated that this team will provide a flexible, child and family friendly approach that involves assertive community treatment (outreach, clinic based and telehealth) and provides evidence informed interventions, including brief intervention, family interventions, clinical care co-ordination and secondary consultation.

What You Need

We anticipate you will have :

  • Personal experience as a family member or carer of a child or adolescent with mental health challenges and recovery (note : this does not include those employed in professional caring roles)
  • Recognition and understanding of own experiences and ability to use this to support consumers
  • Ability to use lived experience expertise to support the work of the multi-disciplinary team and ensure practice is sensitive to the needs of families, carers and consumers
