Being an OSHC educator holds a lot of flexibility to prioritise study or family needs, and at the Y, you might just discover a family of your own - we have a supportive team on the ground and at head office.

  • What being an OSHC Educator Entails

OSHC educators care for children before school, after school and during school holiday periods. Highlights include running fascinating, fun-filled and educational activities with primary school children - such as science experiments, outdoor games and painting.

As an OSHC Educator you will :

  • YMCA Park Ridge Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Service
  • is situated at Park Ridge State School.

    • Our service offers a wide range of fun, stimulating and appropriate programs that reflect real world experiences and home settings. This helps encourage a sense of community amongst the children, facilitates leadership skill development and allows your child to practice social skills in a supported and caring environment.

    Our service philosophy prioritises community and belonging, children's agency and the importance of spontaneous, multi-age play in middle childhood. We offer a range of planned and spontaneous play experiences for children and welcome educators with unique skill sets to share with children.

  • To be successful you must have
  • A Certificate or Diploma qualification in Children Services or equivalent or if you are studying towards a relevant qualification
  • A Fantastic sense of fun & a tremendous imagination
  • Hold or are willing to obtain a current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Current Blue Card or willing to obtain one
