The RoleAs a Logistics & Purchasing Officer, you will be responsible for coordinating the shipping, transportation, and delivery of products while managing stock levels and procurement processes. You will work closely with internal teams, vendors, and freight forwarders to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective operations.
Key Responsibilities :
Facilitate and coordinate the shipping of products between destinations.Manage transportation logistics, staff schedules, and delivery timelines.Oversee stock control, ensuring optimal warehouse capacity and accuracy.Raise Purchase Orders and ensure equipment meets quality and safety standards.Collaborate with freight forwarders and 3PL vendors, managing import / export documentation.Analyse data to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.Ensure compliance with air / sea freight regulations and company policies.About youWe're looking for someone with a strong background in logistics, supply chain, or procurement, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses the following;Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role or industry.Essential experience in import / export processes and documentation.Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organisational skills.Proficiency in Excel and basic computing skills.High attention to detail with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.Knowledge of air and sea freight logistics and dealing with freight forwarders and 3PLs.A team player with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.Self-motivated, with a proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.Join our teamYou can always tell someone who works at Kennards Hire.
