Event Manager

This beautiful winery is located on a stunning 1500-acre winery with sweeping views to the Macedon Ranges, only 20 minutes from Tullamarine in Mickleham. With views of the vineyards two restaurants, accommodation and events spaces. This destination has spaces available for all kinds of functions from corporate retreats, intimate gatherings, cocktail parties and wedding receptions.

• The Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Event Manager is responsible for operational management of the Weddings and Events. This involves leading and developing an events team that deliver exceptional customer service and event execution.

Your main responsibilites will include but are not limited to the following

• Contribute to a strong team environment of events professionals, supporting to deliver on the required financial targets and highest possible level of customer satisfaction.
• Planning, co-ordination and delivery of events across the venue
• Staff training and mentoring of events team
• Plan, develop and implement a system of client management for corporate / B2B and private event accounts within our relevant market sectors
• Prepare monthly reports on all sales activities
• What you bring to the role
• Minimum of 5 years in sales management role within business events sector or hospitality sales
• Previous experience within a sales catering business, or similar is desired
• Thorough knowledge of the tourism & incentive markets
• Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
• Bachelor of Business, Tourism Management or Bachelor of Business, Hospitality Management desirable but not essential
• Current Australian Driver's Licence with no restrictions.
