Progress with purpose at one of Australia's largest health care providersGet ahead with salary packaging, benefits and professional development in a supportive team environmentSeize the opportunity to develop and extend the Pastoral and Spiritual service at Calvary Bruce Private, John James and into Calvary's Home Care Service.About the role As an independent Pastoral Care Practitioner appointed to this role, you have a unique opportunity to use your professional capabilities and depth of experience to help shape the provision of spiritual care and wellbeing support to patients, families and staff across our ACT hospitals and into our Home Care Service.

This role is a critical component of our integrated multi-disciplinary team of people working within an established framework supporting patients to as they navigate health and wellbeing challenges. Across Calvary's ACT sites we support people accessing maternity, short stay surgical, rehabilitation, mental health, chronic pain treatment and end of life care.

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the diverse pastoral and spiritual needs of patients, families and staff are identified and responded to with compassion, sensitivity, knowledge and skill.

This role is casual with an option to move to part time, working cross-site when required (minimum 2 days per week).

Your mission is to nurture and support the spiritual wellbeing and pastoral needs of patients and their families, by collaborating with our multidisciplinary teams and fostering meaningful relationships.The ideal candidate will have :

recent experience working in a similar role in either health care, aged care or community settings;relevant tertiary qualification / s including clinical pastoral education (CPE), counselling or equivalent, and demonstrated capacity for reflective practice;demonstrated understanding of and experience working in a multidisciplinary team;understanding of the pastoral and spiritual needs of people with diverse health needs;well-developed knowledge and understanding of various spiritual expressions including faith traditions and denominations, including demonstrated ability to prepare, lead and / or facilitate the provision of meaningful rituals and celebrations.For further information please contact Kylie Burgess, Manager Pastoral Care and Mission Integration (ACT)via email [emailprotected]
