We are looking for experienced Chefs & Cooks to join our client in Mackay, QLD.
In this hands on roles, the chosen candidates must :
- Ensure food preparation and quality is of the highest standard possible.
- Manage stock levels and follow company procedures and recipe guide lines.
- Ensure hygiene is maintained to the required standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen during and after service.
- Assist the head chef in cost control and assist in ensuring budgeted profit and targets are met.
- Able to work unsupervised and harmoniously with the rest of the staff.
To be successful for this role you will possess the following :
Minimum of 1 years post qualification fulltime experience in prep and a la carte essential (Lunch & Dinner)Appropriate industry recognized trade qualifications.Experience in fast paced, service and quality focused venues.Guest orientated and passionate about food.Sound knowledge of food hygiene practices.The ability to work well under pressure with an eye for detail.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Happy to work split shifts if required.Possess a positive attitude and work well as a part of the team.The positions are full time, $70-$80K a year salary depending on the position and experience.
