Join to apply for the Groundsperson role at North Sydney Council Love working outdoors and keeping public spaces looking their best? We're looking for someone to join our Turf Operations Team to help maintain and enhance the public parks and sports fields in the North Sydney area.

North Sydney Council administers the North Sydney local government area on Sydney's picturesque lower North Shore. Our 400 employees look after 77,000 residents spread across 10 square kilometres of land on the foreshores of Sydney Harbour providing spectacular harbour views, beautiful parklands, and a bustling CBD. Our aim is to ensure North Sydney remains a welcoming, well-designed, safe and beautiful environment for residents, workers and visitors.

The role

As a member of the Turf Operations Team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the aesthetic and functional quality of public parks and sports fields in the North Sydney LG area.

Your duties will include performing both planned and reactive maintenance activities such as mowing, rolling, turf preparation, pruning, mulching, planting, watering, and managing weeds, pests, and diseases. Additionally, you'll be responsible for general site management to maintain a clean and safe environment. Identifying and reporting maintenance needs for Council structures like fences and seating will also be part of your role.

This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the upkeep of North Sydney's public spaces, ensuring they remain vibrant and accessible for the community.

Salary Range from : $63,868 to $76,006 pa (incl. allowance) + 12% superannuation + $1,000 pa transport allowance

Uniform Provided

76 hours per fortnight with a rostered day off
