About the RoleThe Maintenance Asset Lead role is responsible for managing the maintenance trades workforce to deliver the maintenance program for equipment up-time (plant availability) and reliability as specified in the business plans. Further the role will ensure compliance to the Goods Issue and Repairable processes in the delivery of the maintenance activities.
The role will oversee the responsible maintenance delivery teams ensuring that there is an effective utilization of resources from perspectives of safety, costs and timing including the return of equipment to operations within committed (planned) completion timeframes. This role should ensure that the maintenance team consists of adequate maintenance resources to deliver the plans. Those teams have the necessary levels of collective skills, experience and knowledge to deliver the required performance standards for the asset and, where gaps are evident, to implement appropriate development.
Roles and ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the planning process ensuring Trades team alignment to achieve the required maintenance plans on a daily & weekly basis with an aim to structure / optimise the delivery capability (covering manpower, materials, equipment & facilities and financial resources) of the M&R trades team to deliver the scheduled tasksInvestigate causes for rework or significant exceeds of agreed hours for planned workMaintain the M&R organisation capability (adequate staff, necessary levels of collective skills, experience and knowledge) to deliver the scheduled maintenance program for the asset;Manage teams to deliver effective use of maintenance resources including maximising team flexibility, ensuring utilisation of AL targets by managing resource loads and managing resource use to maintain hoursLead improvement teams to improve equipment performance and supporting a self-managed maintenance philosophy;A self-organised, small group of employees whose members manage their day-to-day activities and duties under reduced or no supervision.A self-managed team is a group of employees that's responsible and accountable for all or most aspects of delivering a serviceClearly communicate SHE requirements as per policy, standards and procedures;Ensure all team members understand and comply with required standards of behaviour to achieve best practice outcomes;Ensure requirements for SHEOPS 6.3, 6.4 & 8.1B systems are met on the Asset site and provide assurance that SHE standards are being met on a continuous and sustainable basisSkills and ExperienceSafety & People LeadershipPlant PerformanceLabour ManagementPlant & Financial PerformanceSix Degrees Executive acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we work and live.
