Coordinator Oshc

The coordinator is responsible for the provision of programs for children aged 5 - 12 years in Before and After School Care.

This is a Permanent Full Time Role. Typical hours during the school term will be 7am-11am and 2 : 24pm-6 : 00pm.

You will be supported by not only the Practice Manager but by a team of CatholicCare Coordinators and provided with professional development opportunities.

• Duties
• Being the Nominated Supervisor and leading staff in the provision of a high quality OSHC service
• Regularly evaluating the program to ensure it caters for the interests and needs of school age children and meets the requirements of the 'My Time - Our Place' Framework.
• Advising families about the program, policies and procedures when required.
• Where appropriate take on the role of Educational Leader within the service, provide guidance, and support to the team on best practice programming.
• Working on administrative tasks and efficient day to day operation of the service.
• Requirements
• Qualifications (Diploma Level or working towards) in Outside School Hours Care or Children Services
• Skills and experience in team leadership
• Have completed CHCPRT001 - Identify & Respond to Children and Young People at Risk
• Knowledge of legislation and regulations relevant to Outside School Hours Care and the National Quality Framework as it applies to Outside School Hours Care;
• Hold a current First Aid certification and CPR certification including Asthma and Anaphylaxis Training
• Have a current and valid Working with Children Check
