Our Health Service
Albury Wodonga is the first cross border public health service to exist in Australia. As the largest regional service between Sydney and Melbourne, it directly serves a local community of 100,000 and supports a catchment population of 300,000 covering North East Victoria and Southern New South Wales.
Our new Albury ED opened in April 2024 and together with our Wodonga ED we have over 60,000 presentations per year with a greater than 20% admission rate and paediatric presentations 25% of all presentations. Albury Wodonga Health is a Regional Trauma Referral Centre dealing with the full spectrum of Emergency Care with trauma and resuscitation.
You will be joining a dynamic new team of FACEMs that are committed to the ongoing development of emergency care on the border. Our department is accredited as a training site for the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (ACEM). There are exciting opportunities to not only continue to maintain your clinical skills as well as help develop our health service.
