Occupational Therapist (.2) Fixed Term (Term 4, 2025)

Role Description / Criteria

Role consists of :

• Completing formal and informal occupational therapy assessment for students aged 5-12 years to support intervention.
• Implementing appropriate occupational therapy intervention for students at an individual, small group or whole class level within the school environment.
• Working collaboratively with the school team including teachers, learning support officers and other allied health members to develop personalised learning plans and implement classroom strategies.
• Providing support to student's families or carers related to their child's goals through direct or indirect means (e.g meetings and developing / providing resources).
• Delivering education sessions for parents and / or staff at the school when appropriate.
• Supporting development of school policies and procedures which relate to occupational therapy specific services, planning and delivery.
• Maintaining appropriate records and relevant documentation in student files.
• Maintaining therapy resources in conjunction with other staff.

Special Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy.
• Full Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA).
• Eligibility for membership with Occupational Therapy Australia.
