Project Specialists - Defence

We currently have multiple permanent opportunities for Project Specialists to join our team within our Project Management Function (PMF). PMF provides Program, Project and Product Management, and Project Control Services to support delivery of Defence Capability. PMF supports a number of key reform initiatives which are aimed at enhancing the way products, projects and programs are managed across Defence. These roles will be based in Canberra.

• What you will be involved in
• Guiding and supporting the implementation of a continuous improvement lifecycle
• Liaising with a range of stakeholders, including project schedulers, engineers and other project managers across domains, with a focus on improving program, project and product performance
• Identifying and sharing best practice examples of project management activity, and promoting continuous improvement
• Tracking implementation activities to ensure completion of business improvements
• Providing training and coaching to personnel where required.
• What we expect from you
• Extensive CASG project management experience
• A relevant tertiary qualification
• Australian Citizen with a Negative Vetting 1 security clearance (minimum)
• A strong understanding of the defence capability lifecycle
• Experience with project management software
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and relationship building skills
