Childcare Trainee

The Role

As a Trainee Early Childhood Educator, you will be providing education and care for children from six weeks to six years of age. Your duties can include :

• Supervise and interact with children
• Assist with all room routines such as nappy change, rest and sleep, and food service
• Greet families and children
• Facilitate group time with songs, stories or other activities
• Assist children in developing life and learning skills such as self-feeding themselves and toileting
• Set up, implement, reset and modify programmed experiences
• Assisting the Educators with programming according to the Early Years Learning Framework including writing observations and contributing to planning activities
• Ensure that the centre's strict cleaning regime is followed at all times.
• Interact and encourage children's play with one another and help guide them in their choices when needed
