About the RoleAt Weary Dunlop Retirement Village in Wheelers Hill we have an exciting opportunity to join our experienced team as a Maintenance Person. This is a full time position working Monday to Friday 0800-1600
Our maintenance team are more than just handy people. They work closely with residents and the village team to ensure the safety, repair and appearance of buildings, equipment, facilities and grounds. From hanging residents treasured pictures in their homes to undertaking refurbishments within our apartments; the opportunities are endless at Ryman.
In this role you will :
Work in a team providing the village with an effective maintenance / preventative maintenance service ensuring the safety, repair and appearance of buildings, equipment, facilities and groundsAssist residents in their homes with repairs and maintenanceEnsure that all health and safety policies are adhered to, to ensure the safety of residents, staff and visitorsAbout YouTo thrive in our varied environment you will have :
Previous experience in a Maintenance role, a trade qualification or just completed an apprenticeshipExcellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and a can-do attitudeProven customer service skills and ability to build rapport with residentsOutstanding communication skillsThe ability to work in a team environment or autonomously as requiredReliable, friendly and professional mannerRyman PerksWork in a facility that operates more like a family business.
