The People and Strategy Division brings together key enabling services relating to communications, parliamentary processes, governance, stakeholder engagement, corporate counsel and human resources. The division is part of the Enabling Services Group which provides a high standard of support and guidance to the department on its corporate and organisational operations including strategy and governance, human resources, corporate services, finance and information technology. Each of these key supporting areas of the department play a pivotal role, ensuring all Attorney-General's Department (AGD) staff are able to successfully fulfill the duties in a safe, secure and suitable environment.
As Assistant Secretary - Strategy and Governance Branch (SGB), you will lead the branch, reporting to the Chief People Officer. You will provide leadership and strategic oversight for :
The department's involvement in parliamentary process matters including cabinet, legislation and estimatesMinisterial engagement and executive support including supporting the preparation of briefs, submissions, correspondence and international travel co-ordination for the Attorney-GeneralMedia and communication, internally and externallyStrategic policy and priorities including leading the department's Transformation Agenda and Integrity MaturityStakeholder engagement including support for ministerial level meetings and cross-portfolio engagementInternal governance matters including oversight of fraud, corruption, risk and business continuitySGB strives to be an engaged, high performing and agile team.
