Production Assistant

The role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Assistant to join our team in the manufacturing of liquid herbal medicine products. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensuring compliance with the Australian Code of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

Key Responsibilities :

• Familiarise with and adhere to standard operating procedures for manufacturing, production, and raw materials handling efficiently, diligently, and in compliance with regulations.
• Assist with the production of liquid herbal medicine products, including the selection, weighing, processing, and dispensing of raw herbal materials.
• Support the Production Supervisor in managing the production process flow according to the manufacturing schedule. Promptly escalate any disruptions, discrepancies, or adverse events such as cross-contamination, batch mix-ups, or mislabelling to the Production Supervisor or Operations Manager.
• Update the system with production outputs to ensure accurate stock level representation.
• Support the Production Supervisor in editing and providing commentary on the manufacturing schedule to keep all parties informed of progress. Actively address production variances and implement corrective actions.
• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of production equipment and the production environment, including waste removal.
