The Project
The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, comprising John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs, and Ventia, has secured the contract to deliver the final 10.5 km section of the North-South Corridor. This project will contribute to a lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.
The scope includes a 10.5 km motorway, over 4 km of twin three-lane tunnels, road and bridge construction, and complex M&E installations. Open to traffic in 2031, the T2D alliance offers an incredible opportunity for career stability, progression, and development for those involved.
The Role
As the Safety Specialist, you will monitor and support all works on the project, providing expert knowledge and coordination of safety practices, systems, and procedures.
- Monitor compliance with safety systems and procedures and support the project management team
- Conduct routine safety inspections and monitor work areas
- Assist with incident and accident investigations, including those requiring litigation
- Support workers' compensation claims and rehabilitation processes
- Research and develop safety policies specific to the project
- Prepare and maintain safety reports and documentation
Experience
Diploma in Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalentSignificant experience in a similar role, preferably in large civil construction, mining, or infrastructure projectsAbility to interpret project documents, reports, and compliance documentationStrong relationship-building skills at all levelsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of risk assessment and risk control monitoringStrong investigative and auditing skillsWe Offer
