About the roleAs the Assistant Venue Manager, you will be responsible for the full management of the FOH team ensuring exceptional service is delivered.
- Responsibilities will include
- Overseeing and managing daily front-of-house operations to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
- Train, develop, and mentor front-of-house staff to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and service excellence.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and camaraderie among staff members.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth coordination between the kitchen and the front-of-house staff.
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback with grace and efficiency, aiming to exceed expectations and resolve any issues promptly.
- Manage and optimise the reservation systems, seating plans, and waitlist management to maximise restaurant capacity and revenue.
- Monitor inventory and supplies related to front-of-house operations, ensuring proper stock levels are maintained and minimising waste.
- Enforce health, safety, and sanitation standards to guarantee a safe and hygienic environment for guests and staff.
- Plan and execute special events and promotions to enhance the restaurant's appeal and attract new clientele.
- About you
We are looking for someone that is passionate about delivering the ultimate experience to our team and guests. Equally you will be passionate about hospitality and have at least 2 years experience in FOH management in a premium casual dining restaurant.
In addition, the successful applicant will need to have the following but not limited to :
- Understanding of financials, reports & budgets
- Strong time management skills & attention to detail
- Sound knowledge in cocktails, wine & beverage production
- Passion and professionalism in delivering quality service
- Excellent grooming & presentation, reliable with a friendly attitude and great smile!
- The ability to lead a brigade to the level of standard expected
